Grants

Grants are one of the best ways available to obtain funding and resources for your GIS project, and can be used to obtain software, hardware and training, as well as pay for salaries and consulting services.

When applying for a grant to fund your GIS project, be sure to consider the sustainability of your project and how you will continue to maintain your GIS once the grant period has expired. We currently track software and training grants available from Esri, a variety of project grants available from the Institute of Museum & Library Services, conservation grants from National Geographic and funding from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Foundation.
